Your data

How does MyCareer101 use your information?

CVs and answers about your work can contain sensitive information. This page explains what data is used and how you can control it.

Information we store

If you request early access, we store your email and request details so we can manage access. After that request is saved, you may optionally share where you are in your decision, why you are considering a next career direction, and your expected timeline; these answers are stored with the request to help us understand demand. If you separately choose occasional product updates, we also store that choice and when and where it was made; requesting access or answering the survey alone is not marketing consent. When you use MyCareer101, we store your sign-in email, CVs you choose to upload, interview answers, career profile, career experiments, saved jobs, and application content created for you. If you use a paid plan, we also store customer and subscription identifiers, plan status, and usage entitlements. MyCareer101 does not store full payment card details.

How is information used?

Your data is used to continue your work across sessions, ask more relevant questions, create career documents, and compare jobs with information you have confirmed. MyCareer101 does not automatically send your CV or application letters to employers.

When is content analyzed?

CVs, answers, and writing samples are sent for analysis only when you choose to use the relevant feature and provide consent. Remove names, phone numbers, or confidential information from writing samples when those details are not needed.

You can control your data

From Account settings, you can download a structured export that includes consent history, important activity, and plan information; download your original CV PDF files separately; or delete your entire account. You can also delete individual CVs and saved jobs.

Data retention and deletion

Product data is retained while your account is active so you can continue your journey. When you confirm account deletion, related CVs, answers, profiles, application data, activity history, and subscription information are permanently deleted. A de-identified technical receipt may be retained for up to 400 days to prevent duplicate processing of payment notifications, after which it is automatically deleted. The system also retains a minimal deletion marker containing only a random identifier and process timestamp/status—without CVs, career content, contact information, or payment data—so a late payment notification cannot recreate data for a deleted account. The exact retention period for this marker will be published after the payment provider is finalized. Operational backups, if any, expire according to the backup cycle used in production.

Before public launch

This page reflects the product's current behavior. The operating legal entity, payment provider, AI processing provider, specific backup retention period, and privacy contact channel will be published before the service opens to the public.
